My name is Jürgen and I set up the Lapland Lodge almost 20 years ago.
Let me tell you something about the story of how it came about:
The beginning of a dream
Our adventure began when we - Anita and Jürgen - moved from Germany to Arvidsjaur in Swedish Lapland. We had long had the dream of opening our own bed & breakfast and we wanted to realise it here.
The purchase of the historic manor house
In the midst of this breathtaking landscape, we found our centrepiece: an old manor house dating back to 1850, directly opposite the church in Arvidsjaur. It was love at first sight.
The extensive renovation
With a lot of passion and hard work, we set about renovating the manor house. It took a lot of dedication, but little by little we transformed the building into the Lapland Lodge, which today welcomes people from all over the world.
The opening of the lodge
Finally, we opened our doors. The Lapland Lodge can accommodate up to 27 guests in rooms that we have designed with a combination of traditional charm and modern Scandinavian style. For us, it is a place where history and comfort merge perfectly.
Expansion of our Offer
Our aim was to introduce guests to the beauty of Lapland. That's why we offer activities such as snowmobile tours, snowshoe hikes and exclusive sports car rides on ice. It is important to us that every guest experiences unforgettable moments.
Barrier-free extension
In 2014, we expanded the Lapland Lodge with a modern, barrier-free extension that offers additional space for comfort and relaxation.
Renovation of the Lapland Lodge
In 2018 and 2019, we extensively renovated the Lapland Lodge. Our focus was on preserving the historical charm of the building and combining it with modern Scandinavian design. The result is a lodge that combines tradition and contemporary comfort and offers our guests a unique experience.
Ongoing further development
For us, the Lapland Lodge is more than just a hotel - it is a project close to our hearts. We do everything we can to offer our guests first-class service, comfort and authentic experiences. This makes every stay something special.
